Saint Louis Conference on Biblical Discernment

PFO will again sponsor its biennial national conference on charismatic extremism, shepherding and abusive sects, prominent cults, satanism and the occult, and the New Age movement with nationally known experts conducting multiple plenary sessions and over 40 workshops.

Plenary Session Leaders and Titles:

• Rev. G. Richard Fisher  — “You Lose! – The Detrimental Effects of the Decline of Doctrine”
—Pastor of Laurelton Park Baptist Church in Bricktown, N.J.  He is the senior researcher and writer for PFO’s newsletter publication, The Quarterly Journal, and has co-authored The Confusing World of Benny Hinn.

• Dr. Paul L. Maier  — “Archaeology and Apologetics: Digging for Truth”
—The Russell H. Seibert Professor of Ancient History at Western Michigan University, the Second Vice-President of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and a much published author of both scholarly and popular works, including  Josephus—The Essential Writings.  He appears frequently in national radio, television, and newspaper interviews.

• Dr. Richard L. Mayhue  — “Think Biblically!”
—Executive Vice-President of The Master’s College and Seminary in Santa Clarita, Calif.  He has authored, contributed to, and/or edited over twenty-five books including The Healing Promise, Unmasking Satan, How to Interpret the Bible for Yourself, and Think Biblically.

• Dr. Ron Rhodes  —  “Answering the Objections of Atheists, Agnostics, and Skeptics”
—President of Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministries, Ron is a frequent guest on radio broadcasts nationwide. He is the author of the popular “Reasoning from the Scriptures” series and over forty other apologetic works including The Complete Guide to Christian Denominations and Why Do Bad Things Happen If God Is Good?

• Dr. Bruce A. Ware  — “Beholding the God of Self-Sufficient Fullness”
—Senior Associate Dean and Professor of Christian Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.  He is a highly esteemed theologian and author in the evangelical world.  His works include,
God's Greater Glory: the Exalted God of Scripture and the Christian Faith and Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance.

Alongside the five plenary sessions, six 75-minute workshop sessions are scheduled for the 2006 Conference. You will be able to choose from seven different workshops during each session. In addition to workshops led by conference plenary leaders, other workshop leaders include:
